NYLON is known as a fashion and pop culture magazine, but delves into art, music, technology, and travel. They were founded in 1999 in New York, but went completely digital in 2017, and are currently published by Bustle Digital Group. NYLON also extends over seas, in Asia and Europe, as well as Latin America. My favorite issues being from NYLON JAPAN are filled with experimental harajuku fashion, as well as articles about pop stars and musicians. I still look at my physical copies of this magazine that I own when I need some inspiration on my wardrobe and makeup routine.

Artforum is an international monthly magazine specializing in contemporary art and was founded in 1962 in San Francisco. Artforum is published monthly from September through May along with an annual summer issue. The magazine is distinguished from other magazines by its unique 10½ x 10½ inch square format, with each cover often devoted to the work of an artist. Notably, the Artforum logo is a bold and condensed iteration of the Berthold Akzidenz font. Artforum is one of my favorite art magazines to look through when I feel like my own art style needs a new push. The inspiration from this magazine is a must for any artist out there.

Developing from Vice magazine, originally based in Montreal, Vice Media Group LLC is an American-Canadian digital media and broadcasting company. Vice is my go to news magazine. They heavily rely on their photography and images to bring your attention to the articles. I appreciate any news outlet that cares about the artistic output of footage and photos, instead of only relying on the text of the article. Strong creative imagery is crucial to draw the eye in. Strong creative imagery is crucial to draw the eye into articles that may or may not be lengthy in information. I appreciate even the bad news if it is being designed and curated well like in Vice.
